Jerry McAdams is a nationally known artist and native Texan who lives with his wife and son in Hico, Texas. After more than 26 years in the publishing business, the popularity of McAdams’ unique and graphically bold western paintings have forced him to become a full time artist.
McAdams’ paintings have appeared regularly on national magazine covers, including such publications as The Cattleman, America’s Cutter, The Gulf Coast Cattleman, and others. “Summer Sale at Ruidoso” will be featured on the cover of the 2002 Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale catalog. His large scale paintings are varied and sometimes whimsical, but maintain a photographer’s perspective in dramatic cropping and depth of field. Working mainly in acrylics, his subjects range from contemporary scenes of horses, cattle and ranches to portraits of family pets. In addition to our gallery inventory, McAdams also is available for commissions and does a number of paintings for individual clients, featuring their own cattle, horses and ranch scenes.
